Plan Your White River Trip

Whether you’re planning a guy’s fishing weekend, a family gathering, a corporate retreat, or a full lodge buyout, this page walks you through everything you need to know.

The White Hole Resort is guide-owned and personally operated. We don’t overbook, and we don’t do cookie-cutter packages. Every trip is arranged directly with us, so it fits your group.

Step 1: Choose Your Dates

The White River fishes year-round.

  • Spring – Big brown trout are most active.

  • Summer – Hot air, cool river. Our seasonal pool is open.

  • Fall – Crisp mornings and Ozark color.

  • Winter – Giant browns, fewer crowds, serious anglers, discounted rates.

Our busiest months are typically April through June, and September – October.

We are open year-round and offer discounted cabin rates from November 15 through the end of February.

Most trips are booked several months in advance, but if you’re planning something at the last minute, call us. We may have availability tomorrow, or even today.

Step 2: Plan Your Group Size

Our cabins accommodate 1 to 13 guests each.

Need more space?
We can reserve multiple cabins for your group.

Full property buyouts provide sleeping space for up to 52 guests with individual beds.

If you’re unsure what layout works best, call us – we’ll help you map it out.

Step 3: Decide How You Want to Fish

You’ve got options. In addition to bank fishing along our 400 feet of river frontage, there are several ways to get you and your group out on the water. Wade fishing is also possible when the river is at minimum flow.

Guided Fishing

The best way to ensure everyone has a great day on the river.

  • Fly or spin/bait fishing

  • All skill levels welcome

  • Vetted, top-quality guides

Rent a Boat

If your group has river experience:

  • Half- or full-day boat rentals

  • Designed specifically for the White River

  • Seats up to 3 people per boat

  • Boats available during daylight hours

Bring Your Own Boat

You can launch from the public ramp right next door. We recommend shallow-running boats up to 25hp prop motor or 40hp jet drive. River depth can vary from inches at minimum flow to 15+ feet during generation.

Step 4: Plan Your Meals

Every cabin includes:

  • Full kitchen

  • Outdoor grill

Local restaurants and a nearby general store offer excellent meal options.

We can:

  • Arrange boxed lunches with 1 day’s notice

  • Provide catered group meals in our main building (10+ guests, 1 week’s notice)

Many returning guests remember the meals we prepare in our commercial kitchen – and we’re proud of that.

Step 5: Add Extras

  • Seasonal swimming pool

  • Campfire ring by the river

  • Play ground
  • Horseshoes

  • Wildlife watching

  • Dining hall & meeting space

  • Bull Shoals Lake
